Connecting Patients Living with HIV to Care

About the Speaker. John W. Hogan, M.D. is a graduate of Brandeis University.  He attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Diseases at Howard University Hospital.  He is currently employed by Unity Healthcare, where he works at Upper Cardoza Community Health Center, The Phoenix Health Center, and the D.C. jail. Dr. Hogan provides primary care medicine and is a HIV specialist at those three facilities.  He serves a diverse patient population from cultures around the world.

Dr. Hogan is also the Medical Director for RAP Inc, which is the oldest residential substance abuse treatment program in the Washington metropolitan area.  Dr. Hogan is well known in the Washington metropolitan medical community and serves on several local and national medical committees. He has served as expert clinical faculty for Howard University’s National Minority AIDS Education and Training Center for over six years. He has trained scores of Caribbean clinicians and continues to provide primary care to Caribbean national in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
